Ami Maceira-Lopez is the founder of Everyday Future and the author of Supervising AI, a practical guide for managing large language models in the workplace. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Portland State University and has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and public administration sector. 

For the last ten years, Ami managed federally funded workforce programs under the Department of Labor, overseeing grant portfolios, advising on workforce policy, and leading technology adoption across multiple organizations. When ChatGPT launched in 2022, her background in workforce development put her in early conversations with technology experts about the impact of Generative AI on the future of work. By 2023, Ami was presenting at conferences to highlight the need for a new digital literacy standard in the age of Generative AI. 

Ami founded Everyday Future to help businesses and organizations navigate the ins and outs of introducing a new technology to their workforce.  Her favorite methodologies include Human-Centered Design, the Double Diamond methodology, Technology Task Fit, People, Process, Technology, and the Jobs-to-be-Done framework.
